After Megala missed her immunization shots, project staff took action to register her pregnancy and arranged for the necessary injections at the Primary Healthcare Centre. Through counseling, they encouraged her to accept her baby regardless of gender and raised awareness about the dangers of abortion. When Megala gave birth to a girl, her mother-in-law refused to accept the child due to financial concerns. The staff and village women's group intervened, warning against harming the newborn and arranging support for the family. Megala faced mistreatment from her husband and mother-in-law, seeking refuge at her mother's home. With intervention from the IGP social worker, counseling sessions brought reconciliation, and Megala was accepted back into her home. Despite her husband's disability, Megala worked in flower gardens for income, while the family struggled financially. The children received education in government schools, but the family's poverty remained a challenge.
If you choose to sponsor Nithusa, you will play a part in providing her with the opportunity to create a better life for herself. Under IGP’s care, she will receive a strong education, the ability to have a better childhood, and consistent care for her needs. With your help, Nithusa will begin to know that she is loved and valued.
