My Story

Six months ago Lakshmi lost her father to an unexpected death and her mother has struggled under the pressure of being the sole provider for Lakshmi and her brother. Rather than caring for both Lakshmi and her brother, Lakshmi’s mom cooks only for her and her son and has removed Lakshmi from school. The financial burden is too great for Lakshmi’s mom to bear right now. 

Your sponsorship allows Lakshmi to go back to school and live in a safe home where she is protected from child marriage and physical abuse. She is safe, has access to nutritious food and education, and most importantly, she is being told truth: she is loved, she is valuable, she is worthy.
