Baby Varikallu’s father was disappointed by her birth because she is a girl. Already having an older daughter, her father believed having two daughters was a curse from God. Because of this, Baby Varikallu was neglected by her father as he refused to accept her as his own and care for her sufficiently. IGP’s social workers learned about Baby Varikallu through a concerned neighbor who requested for help. IGP’s social workers were able to confront Baby Varikallu’s father for his negligence and intervene on her behalf. Your sponsorship ensures Baby Varikallu is receiving proper nutrition and food for her overall development as well as ongoing counseling support from our social workers who are providing her with a safe environment to grow.
