My Story

After Sai Chandhana’s older brother suddenly passed away, her father eagerly expected his second child to be a boy too. After being told his newborn was a girl, Sai Chandhana’s father began to severely neglect her—often refusing to provide her with proper food, attention, and care. Her mother, working in the field each day, was unable to sufficiently care for her as well. 

Our social workers learned about Sai Chandhana and were able to speak to her parents and intervene on her behalf. Your sponsorship ensures Sai Chandhana is receiving proper food and nutrition for her overall development as well as a safe environment to grow. Even more, she will learn she is loved and valued as a girl.
