My Story

Bhargavi had one older brother whom her parents favored. Since she was a young girl, Bhargavi’s parents didn’t understand the importance of educating and caring for their daughter. In order to provide well for their son, Bhargavi’s parents didn’t allow Bhargavi to attend school because of the expense. 

Rather, Bhargavi spent her days working on farms in order to earn income to support her family. She was disappointed that she couldn’t go to school, and had trouble understanding why she was treated so differently than her brother. 

Your sponsorship allows Bhargavi to both go to school and come home to a safe place where she will be protected from child labor, illegal child marriage, and neglect. She is now being educated, and most importantly, she is being told truth: she is loved, she is valuable, she is worthy!
